(Business Emerge), July 25: BMW has announced a significant recall of 290,000 vehicles in the United States due to potential safety hazards. The recall pertains to certain X3 models, including the sDrive30i, xDrive30i, M40i, and M, which were manufactured between 2018 and 2023.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that the interior cargo rails in these vehicles might become detached during a rear-end collision. This detachment could elevate the risk of injuries during such incidents.
To address this issue, BMW will offer free replacements for the rear cargo rail attachment bolts. This proactive measure aims to enhance vehicle safety and mitigate potential risks associated with the faulty component.
